Level I-Beginner:
Students new to the fundamentals of yoga postures are invited to start their
study in these classes. Instruction emphasizes the basic standing poses,
as well as seated postures including gentle twists, backbends,
forward bends, and inversions.

Level II-Continuing:
Students who have
previous Hatha Yoga experience and a willingness to playfully explore the edge
of that experience and delve deeper into their practice are invited to attend
these classes. Great emphasis is given to details in standing poses, revolved
and balancing standings are also introduced. In addition, students in this class
are instructed in the preparations for inversions that include handstand,
shoulderstand, headstand. Students familiar with these postures are offered the
possibility to further their explorations with guidance of the instructor. As
well, further exploration of the seated postures and sun salutation flows (Vinyasa)
is provided at a pace suited to the participants in the class.

DIRECTIONS
Our
studio in the Monkton Wellness Center is located at 1900 Monkton Road.
We are in the 160 year old former Monkton Hotel at the intersection of Monkton
road, the Gunpowder river, and the NCR trail. The entrance is on the side of the
building next to the Monkton Village Market. Walk up to the third floor, walk
around to the end of the hall.
